Bruce Holland, "Big Daddy", 53, of Owensboro, formerly of Lucedale, MS, died Monday, October 11, 2010 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born November 25, 1956 to the late J.W. and Leatha Shepherd Holland in Lucedale, MS. He worked at Titan Contracting and Leasing, was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church, was a member of the Madisonville Shriners, and a member of the R.P. Bowen Masonic Lodge in Lucedale, MS. He was also a member of the FAITH Riders, and he enjoyed working outdoors, traveling, camping and fishing.

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, William Taylor, and a brother-in-law, Spanky Amodeo.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Lynell Holland; a son, Jeremy Holland and his wife, Billie of Lucedale, MS, a daughter, Shanda Taylor and her fianc, Darrell French of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Dalton Taylor, Jordan, Ethan, and Lauren Holland; two brothers, Ernest Holland and his wife, Kay, Steve Holland and his wife, Danielle, four sisters, Mary Lee Holland, Shirley Colburn and her husband, Wayne, Sue Amodeo, and Dixie Yates and her husband, William, all of Lucedale, MS; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 4:00 PM Thursday, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial in Lucedale, MS on Sunday. Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, and after 3:00 PM Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Services in Lucedale, MS will be 2:00 PM Sunday at George County Funeral Home, with visitation from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday. Burial will be in Northside Baptist Church Cemetery in Lucedale.
