Brookelynne Kyarra Shannon

Brookelynne Kyarra Shannon, 13, of Owensboro, passed away at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY January 15, 2018. Brookelynne was born August 3, 2004 in Owensboro. Her parents are Jamie Shannon and Armund Taylor. She was an 8th grader at Burns Middle School and planned on attending Owensboro High School next year to continue the legacy of her Dad and Mamaw. Brookelynne was a member of the National Jr. Honor Society, FCA and played Volleyball for Apollo High School and basketball at Burns Middle School.

Brookelynne is survived by her parents; sister, Soleil; brother, Talas; Mamaw and Papaw, Rick and Cheryl Powers; Granddaddy, Frenchie Taylor; Nana, LaShana Jones; Aunt and Uncle, Amber and Patrick Moore and their children, Kyser, Vallon, Isla and Savannah; Uncle, Ryan Cornell and his children, Presley, Anissa and Morgan; Aunt, Melissa and her son Xavier.

Services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2018 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

A dinner and celebration will be held at Pleasant Valley Community Church at 5 pm Friday evening.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Daviess Co. Animal Shelter.
