Bro. L.C. Gray

Bro. L.C. Gray, of Owensboro, born July 19, 1936 to the late Albert Gray and Effie Williamson Gray of Eddyville, KY, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 2, 2009. L.C. was born in Lyon County, Kentucky and was raised there and in Caldwell County. He was a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church. A graduate of Butler High School in Princeton, KY, he attended Mid-Continent College and Kentucky Wesleyan College.

L.C. was a loving husband, a wonderful daddy, an amazing grandfather, and a cherished friend and mentor to many people. Above all, he loved the Lord with all his heart, soul, and strength. He surrendered his life to full-time ministry on Mother's Day, 1956. Throughout L.C.'s ministry, he served on several mission trips to Guatemala, Brazil, Russia, Romania, and Belize. L.C. led evangelistic teams to Honduras where he was instrumental in beginning a church and throughout the years thousands of people came to know the Lord. L.C. pastored Cedar Bluff Baptist Church in Princeton, Epley Station Baptist Church and Oak Grove Baptist Church, both in Russellville, Pleasant View Baptist Church in Clarksville, TN, and Glenville Baptist Church and Parrish Avenue Baptist Church, both in the Owensboro area. L.C. also spent 23 years in full-time Evangelism, preaching revivals and Bible conferences. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Gray and a brother, Willard Gray.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Nadine Crenshaw Gray; two daughters Rhiannon Gray, and Anita Wilson and her husband Matt, all of Owensboro; 2 grandsons, Pastor Kenny Rager and his wife Taran Smith Rager of Hartford, KY, and Nicholas Adams of Princeton, KY; a brother, Billy Gray and his wife Joann of Newburgh, IN; a sister-in-law Dottie Gray of Hopkinsville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are at 12:00 noon Wednesday at Crosspointe Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at the church. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be any ordained minister of the Gospel.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Crosspointe Baptist Church Building Fund.
