Brett A. Maupin, 66, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2026 at the Heartford House under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born October 2, 1960 in Louisville to the late Charles and Aline Smallwood Maupin. Brett was a retired boilermaker with the Boilermakers Union Local # 40 in Elizabethtown and had been attending Owensboro Christian Church. Another thing Brett loved was doing auto repairs and body work. He was a classic car enthusiast and loved working on and rebuilding his 1967 and 1969 Camaros he owned. Brett just loved life and spending time with his family especially his two grandchildren. He was a person who could build or repair anything and was always willing to help his friends out.
