Brenda Swank Wilkins, 56, of Calhoun, died Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. Born November 3, 1948, Mrs. Wilkins had worked as a seamstress at Whitehall Furniture and was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church. She collected Barbie Dolls and Hallmark ornaments and enjoyed fishing. She was preceded in death by her father, William Arthur Swank and a brother, George Swank.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, James L. Wilkins, Jr.; a step-daughter, Katrina Oost of Owensboro; her mother, Colleen Moore Swank of Owensboro; three step-grandchildren; a brother, Donnie Swank of Owensboro; five sisters, Barbara Swank, Deborah Daugherty, and Charlotte Moseley all of Owensboro, Shirley Bullington of Dickson, TN, and Connie Welborn of Central City; a sister-in-law, Nora Lee of Owensboro; two brothers-in-law, Billy Wilkins and Jesse Wilkins both of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved companion Coco..
Funeral services are 11 A.M. Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 .M. Monday and after 9 A.M. Tuesday.
