Brenda Ann Snead, 70, of Utica, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 at her daughter's home in Louisville, KY. Brenda was born in Owensboro, September 27, 1942, to the late Mason and Stella Mae (Belcher) Nantz. She retired as a night sorting supervisor for UPS, was Past Madam State President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, member of Yellow Banks FOE, worked also at Welborn Florist and Kentucky Electronics. Brenda took care of her mother in her last year and she had a deep family devotion. She attended Brushy Fork Baptist, Nickel Ridge, and Little Flock churches.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Gutherie "Sonny" Snead in January 2013.
Surviving is a daughter, Roxanna (Nathan) Redden, grandchildren, Sawyer Brendan and Audrianna McKenna Redden, all of Louisville, and her "honorary" sons who did so much for her, Scott Smith and Ray Whistle, both of Panther.
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Saturday, September 14, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Jason Mayfield officiating. Interment will be private. There will be no visitation prior to services Saturday. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to either the American Diabetes Association or to the American Heart Association.
