Brenda Lee Norris

Brenda Lee Norris, 76, of Owensboro, passed away September 17, 2018 at Owensboro Center. She was born in Evansville, IN on August 28, 1942 to the late James T. Lee and Irene Arnold Lee. Brenda was a Charter Member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She appreciated the companionship of dogs, especially Dachshunds. She enjoyed cooking, riding around listening to music and loved the sun. Her favorite vacation spot was Florida. She also liked decorating, cars, clothing and makeup. Brenda also was a crossing guard and was known to the children as Wonder Woman. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Bobby T. Norris and a brother, James W. Lee.

She is survived by her daughter, Sondra N. Mattingly (Mike); sons, Cliff Norris and Robert S. Norris (Joli Massie); grandchildren, Hailey Norris (Kelsey Crowe), Andrea Mattingly (Chase Payne) and Tyler Mattingly (Mia); great-grandchildren, Bailey, Kaitlyn, Kierra, Olivia and Isaiah; sister, Wanda Gilbreath (Calvin); a host of in-laws, neices, nephews, cousins and special in-laws, Rita Mauzy and Boots Norris.

Services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday. Burial will take place at St. Peter Cemetery in Stanley. Dr. Greg Faulls is officiating.
