Brenda J. Hankins Faith

Brenda J. Hankins Faith, 63, of Owensboro (formerly of Dunmor) died Sunday, February 14, 2010 at the Owensboro Medical Health System with her husband and son by her side. She fought a lengthy and valiant battle with cancer. Mrs. Faith was born August 15, 1946, a daughter of the late John and Irene Hankins of Dunmor, KY. She retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a judicial secretary to Judge Thomas O. Castlen and was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Isaac and Ethel Audas and John Robert and Eva Hankins; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Nancy Hankins; a sister and brother-in-law, Johnnie and Thomas Carver; and a nephew, Randy Carver.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Allen Dale Faith; a son, Allen John Faith (Anna Bishop) of Lexington; three little boys who called her "Nana", Joshua, Caleb, and Jonah Jordan, and their parents, Stacie and Matt Jordan of Dunmor; brothers, Joda (Eula) Hankins and Gale Hankins of Dunmor; 12 nieces and nephews; 22 great nieces and nephews; 15 great-great-nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

Services are 12 noon Thursday, February 18, 2010 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory followed by entombment in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home where there will be a "Celebration of Life Service" at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
