Bonnie Jo Lanham, 67, of Owensboro, died Monday, June 5, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. The Hancock County native was born December 28, 1938 to the late Roscoe and Mary Gertrude Latham Blair. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Wing Avenue Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, reading, and playing Bingo.
Preceding her in death besides her parents were a son, Joe Simmons in 1976, her daughter, Christie Lou Lanham Smith in 1990, and her brothers, William Blair in 1994 and Leonard Wayne Judd in 2006.
Survivors include her husband of forty-five years, Henry A. Shorty Lanham, Sr., her sons and daughters-in-law, Henry A. Jr. and Sheri Lanham and Scotty and Starla Lanham, both of Owensboro, her daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Ann and Kenny Lee Smith of Evansville, IN., her step-daughter, Dorothy Head of Owensboro, her sisters, Imogene Houck of Michigan City, IN. and Darlene Judd of Texas, her brothers, Kenny Judd of Texas and Charles Judd of Knoxville, TN, five grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Cobb officiating. Burial will immediately follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time.
