Bobby Newman

Bobby Newman, 78, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born June 1, 1939 to the late Roy and Dorothy Newman. Bobby was a member of Owensboro Christian Church serving as a door greeter for several years. He retired from Domitar Papermill in Hawesville where he worked for over 40 years. Bobby was also a Thruston volunteer firefighter. He enjoyed traveling to Florida, working in the yard, and completing word search puzzles. Bobby was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anita in 2014; his son, Rodney Newman
Survivors include his daughters, Pam Newman of Owensboro and Jill Huff of Owensboro; his sons, Toby Newman of Owensboro and Greg Newman of Owensboro; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; his brother, Ralph Newman of Newburgh, IN
The graveside service will be 12 noon Monday, February 12, 2018 at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Rev. Scott Kenworthy will officiate. There will be no public visitation.
