Bobby Ray Kinney, 67, of Owensboro, KY, passed away Monday, November 29, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Hopkins County, KY to late Homer and Myrtle (Clark) Kinney. He was employed by Premier Glass Co. in Owensboro. He began his glazing career in 1957 for Jimmy Edlan and Wyndall Carter at KY Mirror. In his younger years he enjoyed water skiing; and now, spending time fishing with his grandchildren and hunting. He is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Ray Kinney in 1986; and three brothers, Horace Kinney, Buddy Kinney and Alan Kinney.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Eva Wiley Kinney; one son, Daniel and wife Debbie Kinney of Whitesville; one daughter-in-law, Yvonne Kinney Morris of Whitesville. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren; Melissa Aguilar of Whitesville, Lacey Verdin of Marrero, LA, Melanie Kinney of Owensboro, Sierra Kinney, Daniel Kinney, Preston Morris and Megan Morris all of Whitesville; three great-grandchildren, Gabby Verdin, Madison Aguilar and Mary Kate Aguilar; and one step-great-grandchild, Aleeyah Aguilar. Two sisters, Onita Beeny of Madisonville, and Joyce Stratton of Louisville; two brothers, Gene Kinney of Cleveland, OH, and Elmer "Al" and wife Jeanne Kinney of Owensboro. Two sisters-in-law, Nell and Billy Cartwright, and Joan Wiley; one brother-in-law, Jack and Sue Wiley and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM Tuesday, November 30, 2004 and at 9 AM on Wednesday until the time of service.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation to the New Salem Cemetery Fund.
