Bobby Gene Fraim, 67, of 5804 Hwy 405, Owensboro, died Thursday, July 05, 2007, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born May 28, 1940 to the late Oscar and Marie Bolton Fraim in Muhlenberg County. He was a self employed mechanic and had attended First Free Will Baptist Church. He was a race car driver, enjoyed NASCAR, working on cars and having coffee at Hawesway Truck Stop. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Candance York and a brother, Glen Fraim.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Carolyn Manning Fraim; a son, Jeff York and his companion, Lisa Vaughn of Owensboro, a daughter, Shelley Edwards and her husband, Shawn of Utica; six grandchildren, Kristyn, Julie, Skylar and Brianna York, Tara Brackett and Brittany Mangrum; two great-grandchildren, Haley and Taiylor Ray; his step-mother, Frances Ezell of Owensboro; a sister-in-law, Elgia Fraim of Centertown; six nieces and nephews, Darlene Flener, Darrel, Dallas and Dennis Fraim, Diana Henderson and Dawne Fraim.
Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM Friday and after 9:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
