Bobby William Crask, 81, of Sorgho passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Born December 3, 1929 in Sorgho, he was the son of the late Claude and Ona Mae Crask. He married Rosetta Cates Crask on December 26, 1954 and they were married for 52 years. Mr. Crask worked as a shipping and receiving clerk at W.R. Grace/Hampshire from 1959-1993 and served as President of the Local 726 of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers for over 20 years. He was a lifetime member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was general secretary of the Church from 1951-1963. Bobby coached basketball for the young men of Pleasant Grove in 1959-1960 when the team won the title. Bobby loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching UK basketball, and NASCAR. In addition to his parents, Mr. Crask was preceded in death by his wife Rosetta Cates Crask on September 23, 2007; a sister, Margaret Evelyn Gish and her husband, Cecil; a niece, Jane Gish Harralson; and a special uncle, Orba William Crask.
Bobby is survived by his daughters, Sheila Crask Hudson (Brian) of Wichita, KS, Patricia Crask Hudson (John) of Sorgho, and Jennifer Crask Cherolis (Jim)of Salvisa, KY; grandchildren, Jackie and Robby Hudson; Kyra and Zane Hudson; and Victoria and Isabella Cherolis; his brother, Gene (Tina) Crask of Owensboro; and nephews, Claudie Gish (Pat) and Tommy Gish (Barbara).
Services are 10 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. William S. Roberts officiating followed by burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Sorgho. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday and after 9 a.m. on Friday.
