Bobby Joe Barrow

Bobby Joe ''B. B.'' Barrow, 68, of Owensboro, died Thursday, June 5, 2003 at his home. He was born in Central City, Kentucky, the son of Clarence and Mary Hughes Barrow. He worked as a machine operator for 30 years at Alcoa. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, a Kentucky Colonel and was a Army Veteran. He enjoyed horse races, baseball and spending time with his grandsons. A brother, Fred R. Barrow, preceded him in death in 1997.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Helen Barrow; one son, John Bennett Barrow of Pellville, KY; one daughter, Mary Jane Barrow (and LeRoy) Karthman, of Elizabethtown, KY; three grandchildren, Bryant Barrow, Nicholas Karthman and Addison Karthman; one brother, Billy Ray Barrow of Chattanooga, TN and one sister, Jean Jackson of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2003 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2003 and after 8:30 a.m. Monday, with prayers being said at 6:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
