Bobbie Lynn Bunni Fulps, 43, 2516 Bluff Ave., Owensboro, died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Owensboro Medical Health System.
She was born Easter Sunday, April 14, 1963, in Augsburg, Germany. She was a graduate of Mattingly School in Owensboro and was a lifelong participant in the Special Olympics program, receiving many medals and ribbons in the softball throw, Frisbee throw, walking relay and bowling categories. She was a member of Koinonia Baptist Church in Elizabethtown and was employed at the Opportunity Center in Owensboro, where she enjoyed visiting with her friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her nurses, staff and friends at the Dialysis Center in Owensboro. She was a University of Kentucky basketball fan, loved Winnie the Pooh and Tigger and was passionate about collecting stickers. She enjoyed fishing with her dad, and spending time shopping with her mom was her favorite pastime.
Survivors include her parents, Bob and Linda Fulps, of 2516 Bluff Ave., Owensboro; three sisters, Sharon (Dan) Lee of Elizabethtown, Robin (Steve) Vance of Dawson Springs, and Janice (Jeff) Casey of Downers Grove, Ill.; four nieces, Saralyn and Olivia Lee, both of Elizabethtown, and Celeste and Emily Vance, both of Dawson Springs; three nephews, Alex Lee of Elizabethtown, and Jeremy and Nathan Vance, both of Dawson Springs; maternal grandmother, Rachel Yarbrough of Rossville, Ga.; and paternal grandmother, Lizzie Fulps of Rossville. Preceding her in death was her maternal grandfather, James Everett Yarbrough.
Services, officiated by her uncle, the Rev. Lamar Yarbrough, of Ringgold, Ga., are at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 9, 2006, and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro.
