Blanch Ruby Jennings, 87, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on January 20, 1927 in Daviess Co. to the late Charlie and Irene Vittitow Jennings. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and had been a governess for the Ben Medley Family for many years. She also had worked in the cafeteria of the Owensboro-Daviess Co. Hospital. She was an avid U.K. basketball fan, enjoyed cross-stitching and making quilts, and spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Charlie Bartlett Neel, three brothers, Charlie Leonard Jennings, William Jennings, and George Neel, and two sisters, Elizabeth Imogene Fischer and Essie Ray.
Surviving are a sister, Jennie Lee James of Owensboro, a brother, Richard Neel of Hardinsburg, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be 6:00 P.M. Saturday, October 4 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
