Billy Joe Smith

Billy Joe Smith, 85, of Owensboro passed away March 13, 2024.  After 27 years of service as a meter reader, he retired from Owensboro Municipal Utilities.  He spent his life devoted to his family.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen, and several siblings.  He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Patty Smith, his daughter, Angela Smith, his sister, Judy Wimsatt, and many nieces and nephews.  

No public visitation or funeral services at his request.  Care by Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory

A private ceremony will be held for close family and friends.
