Billy Ray Lucas, Sr., 50, of Shepherdsville passed away Monday, March 4, 2013 in Owensboro. Born in Louisville on May 4, 1962, he was the son of James Lucas and the late, Laverne Keown Lucas; was a contract laborer; and enjoyed NASCAR and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Jean Lucas.
Surviving are a son, B.J. (Jennifer) Lucas; a step-son, Kevin (Dawnya) Bolin; his father, James Lucas; grandchildren, Brandon Lucas and Dylan Lucas; six sisters; one brother; and his girlfriend, Donna Collins.
Services will be at a later date with Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory handling the arrangements.
