Billy Gene Daugherty

Billy G. Daugherty, 49, of 7118 Masonville-Habit Rd., Philpot, KY, died Friday, August 2, 2002 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a printer and maintenance employee of the Williams Co. for 11 years. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church, National Wild Turkey Association, Muhlenberg County Conservation Club, drove the Church Van, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, repairing cars and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Daugherty.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Rhonda Jones Daugherty; a son, Michael Daugherty at home; two daughters, Jenny Daugherty at home and Carrie Gerkin of Philpot; his mother, Lucille Daugherty of Owenbsoro; three brothers, David Daugherty, Jerry Daugherty, and Maverick Daugherty all of Owensboro; a sister, Sue Stearsman of Pleasant Ridge and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2 P.M. Tuesday, August 6, 2002 at the First General Baptist Church with burial in the Sorgho Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M. on Monday and after 11 A.M. on Tuesday.
