Billy Ray Childers

Billy Ray Childers, 80, of Henderson, died November 18, 2013 at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. He was born January 22, 1933 in Harlan County to the late James and Gertrude Elizabeth Chittwood Childers. Billy was an Army Veteran during the Korean War. He was a member of Airline Baptist Church in Henderson.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Joy Childers of Henderson; daughters, Kim Childers of Henderson formerly of Owensboro and Beverly (Mike) Luck of Chandler, IN; grandchildren, Brandy (Corey) Reed, Joshua and Nicholas (Tara) Luck; great grandchildren, Ally and Addy Reed and Hunter and Kandice Luck.

Services will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 2 PM in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro with Dr. Nathan Whisnant presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home on the day of service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to either the American Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
