Billie Roach

Billie Joyce Postlewaite Roach, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital after a long battle with End Stage Renal Disease. Billie was born April 6, 1932 to the late Benjamin and Gladys Postlewaite of Whitesville. Billie married the love of her life, the late Carter Roach on April 7, 1951.

Billie loved her Jesus and was dedicated to attending worship services at Owensboro Gospel of the Kingdom Church. Billie also loved children. She chose to work as a teacher's aide at Lincoln, Estes, and finally Newton-Parrish Elementary Schools until she retired. She had a mother and grandmother's touch when dealing with all children. Billie will be missed by all of her family including her second family at the Dialysis Center and her church family.

Billie is survived by and left a legacy of love to her children, Mickey Roach (Mary), Pamela White (Ted), Jeff Roach (Sandy), Terry Roach and Brooks Roach (Shannon), grandchildren, Mick Roach, Amber Cook, Ben Roach, Nick Roach, Whitney Roach, Hannah Roach, Jarred Roach, Javan Roach, Kara Roach, and Garrett Roach; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Irma Howard and Martha Rae (Mart) Sandifer; and brother, Jerry Postlewaite.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday and after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
