Billie Clay Pigg

Billie Clay Pigg passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at the age of 72, He was born October 21, 1942 in Lexington, KY to the late Carlson and Oda Pigg. Along with his parents, Billie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha (Nee Orvin) Shearer Pigg.

He is survived by two stepdaughters, Carol (Ron) Carter of Owensboro, and Martha (Matthew) Page of Walton, KY, and one stepson, Walter (Delores) Shearer IV of California. Billie is also survived by five step-grandchildren. He especially enjoyed his relationship with one step-granddaughter, Ashley Payne.

Billie spent many years helping others through his substance abuse counseling work at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. In addition, he helped others on his own time. In his later years, Billie continued to help others by serving as a senior companion as a part of the Elizabeth Munday Senior Services Center. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and pets, working on mechanical or home projects, helping friends, and reading.

Memorial services will be 5:00 P.M. Friday, November 28, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation beginning at 4:00 P.M. The burial will be private.
