Billie Jean Magruder, 79, of 4712 Boxwood Dr., Owensboro, passed away on Friday October 23, 2009 at her home. She was born on March 20, 1930 in Daviess Co. to the late John David and Della Mae Horsely Kellem. She was a member of Seven Hills Baptist Church and was retired after 25 years a plant manager of Omico Plastics. She enjoyed camping and collecting depression glass. She was a graduate of Daviess Co. High School. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Leticia Barker on June 6, 2009 and a brother, Mackey Kellem.
Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Maurice Keith Magruder, a daughter, Ruth Cameron and husband Bill of Owensboro, two grandchildren, Jennifer Barker of Memphis, TN and Benjamin Barker and wife Christine of West Point, Miss., a brother, Jack Kellem and wife Vecie of Maceo, and several nieces.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 26 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 8:30 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
