Billie Joyce (Mitchell) Long , 82, retired, Owensboro Municipal Utilities clerk for 36 years, volunteer at Independent School in Wichita, KS and a commissioned Kentucky Colonel, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012 in Wichita.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Hazel Mitchell and her brother Charlie Mitchell.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Barney; daughter, Stacie (Ken) Stuerke of Wichita; grandson, Carl Stuerke of New York, NY; sister, Peggy Anderson of Hacienda Heights, CA.
Visitation will be held Friday, Sept 14, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Private interment at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
