Billie J. Hill

Billie J. Hill, 92, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026. He passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by his Family and the Feel The Love Care Team while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. He was born on June 22, 1933 in McLean County to the late J.C. Hill and Willie Ganelle (Coke) Hill.

Bill graduated from Tech High School. Following graduation, Bill married the Love of His Life (Sue Helen Hayden) on August 20th, 1955, and they spent nearly 68 years together before her passing. He proudly served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged Dec 30th, 1959. Following his tour of duty, he enjoyed a long career with the Western Kentucky Gas Company.

Bill enjoyed watching sports, cooking chickens, and playing golf. He was a good man who loved spending time with his grandchildren. Bill was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church.

Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Sue Hayden Hill, his daughter, Lisa Hill, and his parents. He is survived by his children, Dan Hill (Linda) of Prescott Valley, John Hill (Rhnea) of Evansville, and David Hill (Lynn) of Buffalo; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 12 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM. Burial with military honors will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
