Bill G. Clark, 57, of Utica, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Patrick G. Clark and Betty Finch Boyd.

Bill was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during the Grenada Crisis. He was a fireman for many years. His career began with the Louisville Fire Department in 1987. In 1994, he joined the Utica Fire Department where he attained the rank of lieutenant. Bill was a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church and an active participant at Utica Baptist Church. He enjoyed music, motorcycles and supporting and coaching the many sports and activities his children were involved in. He was also a long-time member of Utica Playground Association, the American Legion Post #9 and the Legion Riders. Bill was a loving and dedicated husband, father, "Poppy", son, and brother who will be deeply missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Grant Clark and a granddaughter, Alexis Skye Ellis.

Bill is survived by his wife of 21 years, Julie Clark; children, Richard Ellis, John Clark (Meggan),
Bobby-Joe Clark (Ashley), Megan Gleason (Daniel), Jessica Boarman (David), Lee West, and Chris Ellis; his mother, Betty Finch Boyd; grandchildren, Demari Ellis, Keelin Lawrence, Cole Ellis, Hadley, Brantley and Braxton Clark, Griffin Walker, and Aiden and Lydia Boarman; siblings, Mike Clark (Debbie), Theresa Ledford (Sonny), Pattie Hall and Angie Clark.

The service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 7 at Utica Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 until 5:00 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. There will also be visitation Sunday after 1:00 PM at the church. Burial will be at Utica Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #9, 736 Frederica, Owensboro, KY 42301.
