Beverly Euleen Miller Heppler

Beverly Euleen Miller Heppler, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Carmel Home. A life-long resident of Owensboro, she was the daughter of the late Henry Joseph and Clara Wheatley Miller. She was a graduate of Daviess County High School and attended Brescia College.

For much of her adult life, she was self-supporting having been employed as a secretary at the Medley Distilling Company in Stanley and later from 1969 until 1990 as an executive secretary for the National Southwire Aluminum Company in Hawesville.

As a civic-minded citizen, she supported her community as a volunteer for the Owensboro Chamber of Commerce and the arts as a volunteer for the RiverPark Center. She was a longtime member of St. Stephen Cathedral and was attending Blessed Mother Catholic Church in recent years.

Beverly loved her life in her garden with her flowers, but she also enjoyed traveling. In addition to her travels in the United States, she also had traveled in Europe and the Middle East.

She is survived by her three children, Carolyn Kurz and husband Jim of Lexington, Bettye Cain and husband Darry of Owensboro, and Larry Heppler and wife Marcella of Philpot, three grandchildren, Nick Cain, Lori Heppler Basham and husband Adam, and Lee Heppler, all of Owensboro, two great grandchildren, Katie and Mollie Basham , both of Owensboro, two sisters, Violet Thomas of Keokuk, Iowa and Wandola Miller Henry of White House, TN, two brothers, John D. Miller and wife Sheila Ann of Owensboro and Herman Miller and wife Martha of Newman, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 12 Noon Wednesday, November 16, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory officiated by Father Tony Jones. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be after 9:30 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
