Beverly Ann Foster, 86, of Owensboro, answered the call and went to be with her Savior and Lord on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. She was born in Denver, Colorado on February 20, 1937, to the late Ola Belle Hancock Best and Henry Herbert “Ted” Best.
Beverly was a graduate of the Daviess County High School class of 1955 and the Bethel Jr. College of Hopkinsville, KY class of 1957.
Beverly worked at V. E. Anderson MFG. Co. for 13 years before leaving the workforce to care for her growing family in 1970. Beverly served Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for decades, carrying the roles of Sunday School Teacher, pianist and organist, and church clerk.
Beverly was a wonderful wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She spent her life dedicated to her family, friends, and church. Beverly dedicated her life to leading others to Christ, sharing His love through her actions and teachings. Her unwavering commitment to spreading the message of faith has left an undeniable mark on the hearts and souls of those she guided to Christ. She not only led others to Christ but set a Godly example for all who knew her. She leaves behind a priceless legacy, an enduring example of a life lived with her biblical purpose and devotion. Her influence, whether as a wife, mother or grandmother will continue to inspire and guide those who were fortunate enough to witness the grace with which she lived.
She and James were exceptionally proud of their family. Beverly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and was excitedly awaiting the arrival of her two great-grandchildren, Malachi (in March) and Harper (in June).
She was preceded in death by her ever-loving husband of 46 years, James Richard Foster Sr, half-brother, James Alvey Leisure and brother Timothy Milton Best.
