Beulah Lee Nelson

Beulah Lee Parson Nelson, 87, of Owensboro died Saturday, November 12, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born August 1o, 1918, in Mystic, Breckinridge County, KY, the daughter of the late John Hester Parson and Artie Mae Dooley Parson. Mrs. Nelson worked at General Electric for over 40 years until her retirement in 1982 and was a member of the Buena Vista Baptist Church for over 50 years. Mrs. Nelson dearly loved her family and enjoyed traveling after her retirement, visiting all 50 states, as well as many European countries. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years and WWII veteran, George Lee Nelson on February 24, 2000, her brothers, Berman Parson and Edward Owen Parson; and her sister Beatrice Parson Sturgeon.
Survivors include her son, Owen Wade Nelson and his wife, Lacy, and her grandson, Owen Wade Nelson, Jr. of Brentwood, TN.
Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 16 at Glenn Funeral Home where visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
