Beulah Marie Holder

Beulah Holder, 92, of 1712 East 20th Street, Owensboro, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, at her home. She was born February 10, 1914 to the late George Daniel and Mary Elizabeth Humphrey Ward in Daviess County. She had retired as head housekeeper at Gabes Tower. She was a member of Third Baptist Church, loved pets and especially her songbird, Sugar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Holder, Sr. on February 1, 1947, her brothers, Louis, Charles, Hugh, George, William and Frank Ward, and two sons, James Walter Holder and Clarence Daniel Holder.

Survivors include her sons, Marvin Holder, Jr. and his wife, Marilyn of Owensboro, Herman Holder and his wife, Shannon of Reed; her daughters, Mary A. Holder, Ann Staples and her husband, Joe, all of Owensboro; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary John King of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Beulah Cumberland Cemetery in Ohio County. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 8:30 AM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Association, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY, 42301.
