Beulah E. Cox

Beulah E. Cox, 98, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Owensboro Place. She was born on Dec. 3, 1911 in Butler Co., Ky. to the late R. T. and Mary Cardwell Embry. She was a member of Seven Hills Baptist Church and had retired from the General Electric Co. after 26 years. Beulah enjoyed reading, crocheting, gardening, and working in her yard. She loved going to Gospel concerts with her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman A. Cox on April 12, 1992, and two daughters, Wanda Westerfield on April 8, 2000 and Jean Howard on June 15, 2005.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy Willman and husband David of Austin, TX, her sons-in-law, James H. Westerfield of Owensboro and Charles G. Howard of Morgantown, 10 grandchildren, Chris and Tony Howard, Kathy Westerfield, Angie Garrett, Julie Johnson, Pat and Mike Westerfield, Scott, Jon, and Rick Spencer, and several great and great great grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 21 at the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 8:30 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
