Betty Arvin Primrose

Betty Arvin Primrose, 90, of Owensboro passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Owensboro Medical Health System.

She worked tirelessly with Owensboro Humane Society for over 25 years. Betty was a great mother, friend and animal lover.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Primrose, Jr. in 1973 and parents, Mannie and Lela Arvin.

Betty is survived by a daughter, Pat Primrose of Memphis, Tennessee; a son, John W. Primrose, III of Holiday, Florida; a grandson, John W. Primrose, IV also of Holiday, Florida and a caregiver Gay Hutchison of Lewisport, Kentucky.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 4, 2011 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends may visit after 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery.
