Betty Lou Hines Nance, 66, of 393 Toms Branch Rd, Hartford, left to be with her Lord Jesus on Friday, September 16, 2005 at her home.after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Ohio Co., Ky. to the late William Bill & Ida Kitchens Hines. She was retired as a registered nurse with the Owensboro-Daviess Co. Hospital and was a member of Good Shepherd Church. She also had worked at Leisure Years Nursing Home and at Belle Meade Nursing Home in Greenville, and did private duty nursing. She truly loved being able to care for the elderly. Her last work was as a nurse for Perdue, Inc. She was a member of the Womens Mission Group at the church and the Quilting Club in Ohio Co. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Preceding her in death are two brothers, Orville Leisure in 2003 and Elwood Hines in 1995.
Surviving is a daughter, Rita Igleheart Thompson and her husband Dale, of Hartford, a brother, Woodrow Woody Hines of Owensboro, a sister, Hilda Wood of Belleville, Mi., two grandchildren, Jeremy Thompson of Louisville and Candice Thompson of Hartford, and a great grandchild, Ethan Thompson of Hartford, and seven nieces & one nephew.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 20, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Ohio Co. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 8:30 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
