Betty L. (Frank) Miles, 94, of Owensboro, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2026, under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky. She was born December 24, 1931, to the late Floyd and Beulah Frank. Betty is a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Betty dedicated 18 years of her career as a circuit court clerk in Danville, Virginia, working diligently until her retirement. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Betty recognized her as a woman of poise and class, someone who never complained and always exhibited a generous spirit. Her personality shone brightly in all her interactions, leaving a lasting impact on friends, family, and colleagues alike.

Betty was not only committed to her professional duties but also to her community. She was a proud member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority, which advocates for friendship, culture, and community service. She previously participated in the Women's Guild at Zion United Church of Christ, where she held several offices, contributing to the church’s mission and outreach.

In addition to her service to the community, Betty found joy in various hobbies and interests. She cherished reading, spending quality time with her daughter, watching westerns, and nurturing her gardening skills. Her love for plants was evident not only in her own garden but also in her volunteer work through Hospice of Western Kentucky, where she arranged flowers weekly for patients, brightening their days.

In addition to her parents Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert J. Miles; son, Robert “Bob” N. Miles; sister, Marian Sue Frank; brothers, Paul Frank, Pete Frank, LeRoy Frank, Lawrence Decker and Eugene Decker.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Suzanne Miles; sister, Linda Ferguson; brothers, Robert J. Frank (Nelda) and Jerry L. Frank; sister-in-law, Fannie Frank; daughter-in-law, Sue (Smith) Miles; several nieces and nephews, and the Smith family.

The funeral service for Betty will be 4 PM Friday, February 6, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until 3:30 PM at the funeral home.
