Betty Decker Kittinger

February 6, 1929 — May 15, 2015

Betty Decker Kittinger, 86, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born on February 6, 1929 in Qulin, MO to the late O.C. and Faye Tomes Decker.

She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church for 45 years. She retired from Hon, Inc. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, KWC ballgames, and traveling. Most of all Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Archie William Kittinger in January 2013; sisters, Stella Corder and Norma Crowell, and brothers, Elvis Decker, Nolan Doyle Decker and William Owen Decker.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Daniel (Terry) and Rhonda Harris (Dale); a son, Bruce Kittinger (Mary); grandchildren, Matthew Daniel, Jaime Rafferty (Paul), Laura Mann (Craig), Brian Harris (Jessica), Brooke Harris, Kristy Green (Brad), and Ashley Stewart (Jeremy); 13 great-grandchildren; Sean, Shane and Leah Daniel, Beau and Brynna Rafferty, Carter and Landon Harris, Lily Mann, Gatlin, Macie, and Kara Green, Hayden Stewart and soon to be Baby Stewart and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 12 noon on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 1 until 5 pm on Sunday and after 11 am on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Heartford House or Owensboro Christian Church Dollar Club Ministry.
