Betty B. Kessler, 82, of Wildwood Drive, Owensboro, died Wednesday, February 27, 2008, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born February 9, 1926 to the late Lloyd and Maye Wells Baldwin in Tulsa, OK. She was owner and worked at Kessler Insurance Co. for 30 years. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she was active in the Alter Guild and was on the Pastoral search committee. She helped start the Help Office in Owensboro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Kessler, Jr., on January 11, 1988.
Survivors include her children, John L. Kessler, III of Owensboro, Janet Kessler Karain of Houston, TX, and Mark LaRue Kessler of Germany; six grandchildren, Dan Karain, 23 of Houston, TX, Justin Karain, 21 of Baton Rouge, LA, Kessler Karain, 19 of San Antonio, TX, Kristiane Karain, 17 of Baton Rouge, LA, Courtney Kessler, 21 of Owensboro and Katie Taylor, 24 of Owensboro; three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Trinity Episcopal Church with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home.
