Betty Lou Cooper Howard

b. November 6, 1946

Betty Lou Cooper Howard, 61, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, February 10, 2008 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born November 6, 1946 in Hancock County, she was a homemaker; member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church; and loved shopping and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death son, Charles Vincent Howard and a sister, Margie Boyd.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Alice Hayes of Owensboro; grandchildren, Tiffani DeWitt, Bradley N. Skaggs, Ronnie L. Hayes, Jr., and Justin Hayes all of Owensboro; a great-grandchild, Jasmine Hayes of Owensboro; her mother, Mary Cooper of Owensboro; a brother, Tim Cooper of Owensboro; and sisters, Bonnie Pierce, Ruth Ann Harris, and Peggy Cooper all of Owensboro.

Services are 1 P.M. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Chapel of Peace in Rosehill Cemetery followed by burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. to 1 P.M at Glenn Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
