Betty Jeanine Evans Helm

Betty Jeanine Evans Helm, 80, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on February 22, 1934 in Daviess Co. to the late James "Red" and Ioma Clara Mansfield Evans. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church. Betty was retired as a teller with Owensboro National Bank and B.B. & T and had also taught at Our Lady of Lourdes School. She was in the last class that was at St. Francis Academy and the first graduating class of Owensboro Catholic High School in 1952. She loved and cared for her family very much and always enjoyed the vacations she took with them. Betty was very creative and enjoyed one-stroke painting. She also was preceded in death by her husband, John William Helm in 2004 and an infant grandchild in 1984.

Surviving are her son, Chris Helm of Louisville, her daughter, Diana Wall and husband Stephen of Owensboro, five grandchildren including Lori Beth Wall of St. Louis, Christie Hagan and husband Michael of Philpot, and Stephanie Wall of Owensboro, two great grandchildren, and a sister, Mary Ann Snyder of Owensboro.

Private visitation and services will be held. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.
