Betty Sublett Hayden Crowder

Betty Sublett Hayden Crowder, 78, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at Wellington Parc. Born in Daviess County on November 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Norine O'Bryan and Clifton Sublett; was retired; and was a member of St Stephen Cathedral. Mrs. Crowder enjoyed quilting, sewing, dancing, baking, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Crowder in 1999.

Surviving are her children, Debbie (Cary Colman) Sheperis of St. Louis, Mo. Denise (Ed) Bartlett of Philpot, Jimmy (Kim) Hayden, Phil (Cheri) Hayden, Vickie (Dean) Sipes all of Owensboro, Cathy (Mike) Menchise of Charlotte, NC, and Keith (Missi) Hayden and Ronnie (Kim) Hayden of Owensboro; grandchildren, Paul Rone, Heather Rone, Lindsey Stone, Krista Hundley, Michelle Willis, Kelsey Spicer, Bradley Hayden, Brittany Hayden, Katelyn Hayden, Zack Hayden, Adam Witherspoon, Kyndall Hayden, Wesley Hayden; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2010 at St Stephen Cathedral with Father John Vaughan officiating followed by burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday and after 8:30 a.m. on Friday. Prayers will be said at 5 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
