Betty Jean Coy

Betty Jean Coy, 64, of Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of 1609 Norris Ave., passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Bon Harbor. She was born in Ohio Co., Ky. to the late Nathan R. and Helen Clark Austin. She was a member of Hall St. Baptist Church and enjoyed reading books and watching shows about the Civil War and the South, drawing, and embroidery stitching. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert P. Coy on March 29, 1993.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Coy of Owensboro and friend Jeff Shutt of Island, a sister, Ruth Phillips and husband Jerry of Owensboro, two nieces, Donna Shreve of Versailles and Susan Mathison and husband Dan of Owensboro, three nephews, Nathan Shreve and wife Susan and Doug Webster and wife Sheila, all of Owensboro, and Wayne Webster of Florida, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 11 at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
