Betty Eubanks Claycomb

September 27, 1932 — February 14, 2010

Betty Eubanks Claycomb, 77, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 at the Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 27, 1932 in Hancock Co., Ky. to the late James T. and Mary Lee Cox Eubanks. Betty was retired from Medco Nursing Home as a certified Nurses Assistant and was a lifelong member of Ridgewood Baptist Church. She enjoyed her retirement living in Florida, camping, and spending time with her family. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Earl Claycomb on August 26, 2005, a grandson, Jeffrey Scott Cecil on Dec. 20, 2007, two brothers, Thomas Lee Eubanks and J. T. Eubanks, and her mother and father-in-law, Emmitt and Lucille Claycomb.

Surviving are three daughters, Earlene Claycomb, Darlene Stallings, Donna Cecil and husband Steve, all of Owensboro, a son, James E. Claycomb and wife Sandy of Gallatin, TN, six grandchildren, Randy Stallings, Jr., April Hays, Angela Storey, Stephanie Claycomb, Jonathan Cecil, and Tyler Claycomb, eight great grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Larry Claycomb of Lewisport, and a sister-in-law, Martha Eubanks of Owensboro.

Services will be 12 Noon Wednesday, February 17, in the chapel of the Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ridgewood Baptist Church, 800 Carter Rd., Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
