Bethel Ross

Bethel Ross, 70, of Owensboro died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. Born in Lee County, KY, a daughter of the late Curtis Conley and Bertha Sparks Conley, she was a member of Owensboro Church of Christ, the former manager of a child care center, and a foster mother for 36 children over 11 years. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Jane Newnem.

Survivors include her husband, Clint Ross; her daughter, Marlene Bratcher of Owensboro; her sons, Drexel Clint Ross of Island and Harlan Lee Ross of Owensboro; her brother, James O. Conley of Beattyville, KY; her sisters, Hattie Angel, Mae Conley, and Lou Sparks, all of Beatyville; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Services, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Bunch, are at 12:00 noon Friday at Glenn Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Memories of Mrs. Ross may be shared at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
