Beth Hoffman Best

Beth Hoffman Best, 55 passed away on Friday, March 19, 2004 at home surrounded by her family and loved ones after a valiant battle with cancer. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Marylou Hoffman and was born on May 12, 1948 in Portsmouth, Ohio. Beth was a member of St. Martins Episcopal Church; she currently served on the St. Stephens and Post Oak School Boards. Her life was devoted to her family and friends. She was extremely caring and generous with both time and talents. Her greatest joy was being with her family whether at home or on vacation. Before moving to Houston in 1992, she lived in Owensboro, Kentucky where she was involved in numerous civic and charitable activities.

She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Bob; children, Stephanie Cook and husband Rad, Sean Best and Ashley Best. Grandchildren, Mackenzie and Radford Cook all of Houston. Sister, Molly Wolfe and husband Jeff of Houston, Debbie Teague and husband Keith of San Antonio, Susan Hoffman of Terre Haute, Indiana; brother, Chuck Hoffman and wife Cathy of Owensboro, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews, Mary Charles, Delaney and Tucker Wolfe, Whitney, Nicholas and Hannah Hoffman.

On Monday, March 22, 2004 the family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home located at 900 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 23, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. at Glenn Funeral Home with the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Owensboro, KY. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
