Bertha Wink Young

Bertha Wink Young, 83, of Owensboro, KY passed away Monday, August 30, 2010, at the Hillcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born July 13, 1927, to the late William and Cecelia Fuerst Wink, Ms. Young was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, had lived in Browns Valley, and worked in the Glenmore and Medley Distilleries. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Mike Wink, George Wink, James Wink, Helen Wink, Ann Cecil, Margaret Gesser Bennett and Mary Castlen Cecil.

Survivors include her son William Joseph Young of Utica, daughter, Mary Lou Young of Philpot, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, officiated by Rev. Mike Clark. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday and after 8:30 a.m. on Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be said at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery.
