Sister Bertha Marie Nally, 85, an Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph, died Friday, October 6, 2006, at Mount Saint Joseph, in her 64th year of religious life. She was a native of Springfield, KY.
An educator for 35 years, she taught at St. Anthony School, Browns Valley (1946-47), St. Martin School, Rome (1953-54), and St. Raphael School, Daviess County (1954-55). She taught in many other schools in the Diocese of Owensboro and Archdiocese of Louisville, and ministered in health care at Mount Saint Joseph, 1979-90. She retired in 1990.
Survivors include nieces and nephews, and the members of her religious community.
The Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 9, at Mount Saint Joseph, where visitation will begijn Sunday at 4 p.m., with a wake service following at 6:30 p.m. All ervices are in the chapel.
