Bertha Hunter Knapp

Bertha H. Knapp, 68, of Owensboro died January 4, 2013, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Daviess County, to the late Eugene and Iva Hunter Kesheimer. She retired from U.S. Bank Home Mortgage where she was a member of the Development Network and the Activities Committee. Bertha was a UK sports fanatic spending many games cheering on her Cats at Beef O'Brady's and cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals. She loved to travel She was also preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Hagan.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Lynne Knapp; children, Johnny Knapp, Jr. (Rayanna) of Boonville, IN and Robyn Stenftenagel (Allen) of Owensboro; grandchildren, Jamie Jones of Lexington and Megan Knapp of Boonville; sister, Jean Dill of Owensboro; and her many furry feline companions.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday and after 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center.
