Bernice Norris Worth

Bernice Norris Worth, 88, of Philpot, passed away on Friday December 3, 2010 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center. She was born on February 7, 1922 in Ohio Co., Ky. to the late C. D. and Betty Midkiff Norris. She was a homemaker and had worked at Fleischmann Distillary and Omico Plastics Co. She was a member of Owensboro Church of Christ and enjoyed birdwatching and loved animals of all types. Bernice was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Leonard Worth on May 22, 1999.

Surviving are a son, Leonard W. Worth and wife Nancy of Philpot, two daughters, Gayle Jacobi and husband Ken of Philpot and Betsy Simmons of Philpot, five grandchildren, Brad Johnson and wife Gina of New Albany, IN, Wendy Worth and Will Worth, both of Philpot, Jeremy Simmons and wife Nicole of Chicago, IL, and Justin Simmons and wife Jenny of Owensboro, three great grandchildren, Zoe Johnson, Willow Worth, and Madison Simmons, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 6, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
