Bernice Davis Allen Reed

Bernice Davis Allen Reed, 86, of Owensboro formerly of Leon, West Virginia, died Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. She was born July 14, 1915 in Leon, West Virginia the daughter of the late William and Crotia Pretty Davis. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, John W. Allen in 1940; her 2nd husband, Forrest L. Reed; a son, Jim Allen in June 2000 and two stepsons, Russell Reed and Ronnie Reed.

Mrs. Reed was a homemaker and had attended Good Shepherd Church.

Survivors include one son, Robert Earl Allen of Owensboro; three stepsons, Lester Reed, Jack Reed and Jim Reed, all of Owensboro; two stepdaughters, Betty Miller of Owensboro, Rosella Sharpe of Metairie, LA; eight grandchildren; 30 step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 46 step-great-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2001 at Rosehill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at Glenn Funeral Home after 11:00 a.m. Friday.
