Aleine Perry, 86, of Owensboro, KY, died at 5:00 PM Thursday, December 9, 2004 at her home in Owensboro. She was born October 8, 1918, to the late Reuben and Goldie May Richardson Johnson in Centralia, IL. She was a member of First Baptist Church, a homemaker, and was given the name, Cookie Lady Perry, by her many friends to whom she supplied with cookies and loving kindness for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Perry, who died in 1988; they were married June 26, 1937. Two grandsons, Edwin Anthony Morsy and John Louis Perry; and a brother, Glen Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Alan Perry of Owensboro, Jack Stanley Perry of Symsonia, KY; one daughter, Patricia Morsy of Owensboro; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nita Ott and Mary Olive Briesacher, both of Centralia, IL.
Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with services held at 2:00 PM Monday at Pacey Funeral Home in Centralia. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery in Centralia. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Monday at Pacey Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 230 JR Miller Blvd., Owensboro, KY, 42303.
