Bernard Eugene Lambert

April 3, 1931 — September 17, 2003

Bernard Eugene Gene Lambert, 72, of 5041 Hwy 81, Owensboro, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. The Daviess County native was a farmer and life long member of the St. Martin Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War ; life member and Past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 696. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ella Marie Fischer Lambert, a brother, Bob Lambert and a sister, Edwina Hurm.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Margaret Lambert of Owensboro; and six nieces and nephews, Bob Hurm of Kokomo, IN, and Mark Hurm, Larry and Cindy Hurm, Gerald and Rita Hurm, Joe and Joyce Kresbach and Linda Hurm all of Indianapolis, IN.

Funeral services are 11 A.M. Saturday, September 20, 2003 at the St. Martin Catholic Church with burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery with military honors presented by VFW Post 696. Visitation will be at the Glenn Funeral Home from 3-8 P.M. Friday, September 19, 2003 and after 9 A.M. Saturday. Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 7 P.M. on Friday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St. Martin Building Fund.
